Position Overview The Construction Manager is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of RES solar installation projects. This position manages installation scheduling, crew deployment, pre-installation readiness, field operations, quality control, punch-list completion, and installation closeout. The Construction Manager works closely with Solution Specialists, Project Coordinators, the Warehouse, and Crew Leads to ensure each project is properly planned, staffed, equipped, and completed as efficiently as possible according to RES standards. Primary Responsibilities Develop a positive morale amongst the field crew Develop, maintain, and publish the weekly and daily installation schedule Assign Crew Leads and crew members based on project requirements, qualifications, workload, and available capacity Work with Project Coordinators, Solution Specialists, and the Warehouse to confirm that projects, equipment, materials, tools, and job information are ready before deployment Review project plans and bills of materials before installation and identify any field-readiness concerns Conduct pre-installation site visits as needed, particularly on new construction projects where site conditions may have changed Lead and support Crew Leads and installation personnel, setting clear expectations for safety, workmanship, productivity, documentation, and jobsite conduct Visit active jobsites to monitor progress, address field challenges, and coordinate with general contractors and other trades Ensure installations are completed according to project plans, applicable codes, RES safety requirements, and RES workmanship standards Confirm crews have the training, PPE, tools, equipment, and information needed to perform their work safely and effectively Document on-site changes Track outstanding field and punch-list items and ensure they are assigned and completed promptly Advise Project Coordinators when projects are ready for inspection and coordinate completion of field-related inspection corrections Request commissioning when installations are physically complete and ready for system startup Confirm required field documentation, photographs, testing, labels, and completion checklists have been submitted Monitor labor use, project duration, rework, and other production challenges to improve installation efficiency Coach and develop Crew Leads and installation personnel and coordinate needed technical, safety, and leadership training Facilitate a monthly installation review to discuss recent projects, lessons learned, upcoming work, training needs, and improvements to RES installation practices Qualifications At least 7-10 years of relevant solar, electrical, construction, or technical field experience Demonstrated experience managing field crews and coordinating multiple active construction projects Strong knowledge of construction scheduling, jobsite planning, quality control, and safe work practices Ability to read construction plans, electrical drawings, bills of materials, equipment manuals, and project specifications Solar PV and energy-storage experience strongly preferred Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Experience coordinating work with general contractors, inspectors, customers, and other trades Working knowledge of labor planning, job costing, and time-and-material documentation Comfortable using scheduling, project-management, and field-documentation software Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites throughout Hawaiʻi Island Ability to work on active construction sites, climb ladders, access roofs when necessary, and lift up to 60 pounds

OSHA 30, NABCEP
