Job Description
Position Summary The Project Manager will oversee residential HVAC projects for New Construction division, ensuring jobs are designed correctly, estimated accurately, and completed on time and within budget. The role prefers experience with ServiceTitan software, technical acumen in HVAC design and load calculations, and the ability to coordinate with internal teams, vendors, builders, subcontractors, and suppliers. Key Responsibilities Manage residential HVAC projects from proposal through closeout for new construction work, ensuring schedule, budget, and quality targets are met. Use service management software (including ServiceTitan) to manage jobs, track project progress, schedule work, and maintain accurate project documentation and reporting. Perform or review residential HVAC load calculations and system selections to ensure proper sizing and design. Prepare or validate estimates for new construction and replacement projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Staff projects appropriately by planning labor needs, assigning technicians and crews, and adjusting staffing based on workload, skill requirements, and project timelines. Select, coordinate, and manage subcontractors for portions of work, including defining scopes, reviewing bids, monitoring performance, and verifying completion and quality. Coordinate with field supervisors and technicians to sequence work, resolve site issues, and maintain safety and quality standards. Serve as primary point of contact for builders, vendors, and suppliers, negotiating schedules, monitoring purchase orders, and resolving delivery or scope issues. Lead project meetings and provide clear communication with customers, builders, and internal stakeholders regarding timelines, changes, and expectations. Provide day-to-day leadership to project and field teams, reinforcing company standards, coaching team members, and supporting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Skills 3+ years of project management experience in construction, HVAC, or a closely related trade; residential HVAC experience strongly preferred. Working knowledge of residential HVAC systems and ability to perform or interpret load calculations and system designs. Experience preparing estimates or takeoffs for residential HVAC service, change-outs, or new construction projects. Hands-on experience with field service or construction management software; experience with ServiceTitan is strongly preferred. Proven experience working with or managing relationships with vendors, builders, and suppliers. Demonstrated leadership experience (e.g., leading crews, coordinating projects, or supervising teams). Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant HVAC licenses preferred but not required. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to successfully complete a federal criminal background check following a conditional offer of employment.
