Non-Exempt Position Summary The Enrichment Instructor provides services, activities, and enrichment opportunities that support students in improving academic performance, attendance, behavior, social connections, promotion, and graduation outcomes. The Enrichment Instructor supports a safe, engaging, and positive after-school environment and works collaboratively with Site Coordinators, school personnel, and other program staff. Essential Responsibilities Maintain effective communication with the Site Coordinator, school personnel, and other CUP program staff. Follow the direction of the Site Coordinator and program leadership and adhere to applicable school district policies, CUP policies, and program requirements. Lead, participate in, and take responsibility for assigned after-school enrichment activities. Assist with recording and maintaining accurate student attendance and program data. Participate in out-of-school-time program planning and development. Attend staff meetings as required. Assist in maintaining a safe, structured, and welcoming environment for program participants. Monitor student behavior and promptly communicate concerns or incidents to the Site Coordinator. Report on incidents involving students, staff, or unauthorized visitors to the Site Coordinator in accordance with program expectations. Communicate respectfully and professionally with students, parents, school personnel, community members, and coworkers while maintaining appropriate confidentiality. Perform routine first aid and seek appropriate assistance for serious illness or injury. Identify needed program supplies and resources and communicate those needs to the Site Coordinator. Participate in required professional development and program-related training. Become familiar with CUP out-of-school-time program expectations and operations across assigned program sites. Be available to work at and provide coverage at other CUP program sites as operational needs require. Adapt to different site environments, student populations, schedules, and program needs while maintaining consistent CUP program expectations. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required. Ability to communicate effectively with youth, families, coworkers, school personnel, and community partners. Ability and willingness to work positively with, engage, and mentor youth. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Ability to adapt to different program sites and provide coverage where needed. Dependable, flexible, and able to respond appropriately to changing program needs. CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within the timeframe established by CUP. Food Handler Certification required or ability to obtain within the timeframe established by CUP. Successful completion of required criminal background checks and other required child-safety screenings and training.
