Rachel Contracting seeks an Earthwork Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil and site development projects. You'll supervise earthwork crews and subcontractors, coordinate equipment and trucking, and ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, and to spec. Responsibilities include reading plans, layout, managing production, enforcing QA/QC, and communicating with project managers and owners. Responsibilities Lead daily earthwork field operations on heavy civil and site development projects. Supervise and mentor crews, operators, and subcontractors to meet production goals. Plan and coordinate equipment, trucking, materials, and sequencing. Read and interpret plans, specifications, and grades; verify layout and quantities. Monitor safety, enforce company and OSHA standards, and lead daily safety meetings. Track progress, quantities, and costs; report to Project Manager regularly. Ensure quality control for cuts/fills, compaction, erosion control, and utilities support. Coordinate with survey/GPS control for layouts and grade checks. Troubleshoot site, soil, and logistics challenges to maintain schedule. Collaborate with clients, inspectors, and internal teams to resolve field issues.
