Available based on company travel matrix Sterling Engineering is looking for an Electrical Superintendent to support industrial electrical installation projects in Caledonia, MS. This role will provide field supervision and direction while coordinating with other superintendents and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Job Summary:
The Electrical Superintendent will oversee field electrical installation activities, including underground duct banks, above-ground conduit, cable tray, cable pulling, terminations, and electrical equipment installation. This is a hands-on field position focused on safety, quality, productivity, and schedule execution.
Job Duties:
Provide supervisory direction to craft workers and oversee safety, quality, and production.

Plan, schedule, and execute field electrical operations.

Oversee industrial electrical installations, including:

Underground duct banksAbove-ground conduitCable trayPower, control, and instrumentation cable pullingMedium-voltage and low-voltage terminationsElectrical equipment installationEnsure work complies with contract specifications, electrical codes, and quality procedures.

Coordinate with other superintendents and subcontractors to maintain workflow and schedule adherence.

Develop schedules based on provided man-hours to support overall project timelines.

Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling challenges.

Ensure project safety, attendance, workplace conduct, and other company policies are followed.

Monitor and evaluate craft performance.

Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and completing work correctly the first time.

Work overtime and weekends as required.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in industrial electrical installation.

Superintendent experience is not required; candidates with Foreman or General Foreman experience are encouraged to apply.

Strong understanding of industrial electrical installation processes and requirements.

Demonstrated ability to supervise and evaluate craft workers.

Strong work ethic, initiative, and commitment to safety and quality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.

Ability and willingness to travel and relocate as needed.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Ability to work safely and follow written and verbal instructions.

Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Schedule:
Some overtime and weekend work may be required.

Work may take place at various project locations and under varying field conditions.
