Position Summary The Commercial Business Development Lead is responsible for developing new business opportunities for Krise Services' Commercial Electrical Division. This individual will cultivate relationships with: General Contractors Commercial Property Owners Facility Managers Manufacturing Facilities Municipalities Healthcare Facilities Educational Institutions Industrial Customers Developers Property Management Companies The goal is to generate new commercial electrical service opportunities, negotiated work, design-build opportunities, and bid invitations for commercial construction projects. Success in this position comes from building long-term relationships—not high-pressure sales tactics. Primary ResponsibilitiesDevelop New Business Prospect and develop new commercial customers throughout the region Schedule and conduct in-person meetings with decision makers Identify upcoming commercial electrical opportunities Build relationships that lead to long-term partnerships Represent Krise Services professionally in the marketplace General Contractor Development Identify qualified General Contractors not currently working with Krise Services Meet with project managers, estimators, and ownership teams Get Krise Services added to approved bidder lists Secure invitations to bid future projects Develop relationships that lead to negotiated work opportunities Commercial Customer Development Develop relationships with commercial businesses requiring: Electrical service work Maintenance agreements Tenant fit-outs Facility upgrades Lighting retrofits Generator installations Preventative maintenance Emergency electrical service Expansion projects Relationship Management Become a trusted advisor for commercial clients Maintain regular contact with existing relationships Attend networking events Participate in trade associations and industry organizations Represent the company with professionalism and integrity Opportunity Management Maintain a healthy sales pipeline Track all opportunities within the CRM Coordinate with estimating and operations teams Assist in developing project strategies Follow opportunities from initial contact through project award Market Intelligence Stay informed on local construction activity Identify upcoming developments Monitor market trends Research potential target accounts Provide feedback on competitor activity Qualifications Required 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction or commercial construction sales Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and construction processes Experience developing business relationships Excellent verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and demeanor Self-motivated with strong organizational skills Valid driver's license Preferred Existing relationships with General Contractors Experience calling on commercial facilities Knowledge of estimating and bidding processes Understanding of commercial construction contracts CRM experience Experience working for an electrical contractor What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Naturally builds relationships Is comfortable meeting new people every day Has a strong work ethic Is highly organized Is self-motivated without needing constant supervision Takes pride in representing their company Thinks long-term rather than chasing quick wins Communicates honestly and professionally Understands that trust wins business Key Performance Indicators Success in this role may be measured by: New General Contractor relationships established New commercial customer relationships Invitations to bid secured Qualified opportunities created Proposal volume generated Revenue awarded Gross profit generated Customer retention Repeat business CRM activity and pipeline management Why Join Krise Services?
