About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to oversee daily field operations for the Emergency Generator Upgrade project. This is a federal construction project subject to
FAR/VAAR
requirements, involving electrical, mechanical, civil/site, and geotechnical scopes on an active hospital campus. The Superintendent will be the primary on-site authority for schedule execution, subcontractor coordination, safety, and quality control, working closely with the Project Manager on contract administration matters. Key Responsibilities Direct and coordinate daily on-site construction activities across all trades (civil/site work, electrical, mechanical, structural). Enforce project schedule (Primavera P6) at the field level; identify and escalate delays or resequencing needs to the PM. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring work conforms to approved submittals, drawings, and specifications. Manage day-to-day site logistics on an active, occupied VA hospital campus, including infection control, interim life safety measures (ILSM), and coordination with VA facilities staff. Oversee site safety program; conduct daily safety briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce

compliance. Identify and document field conditions that differ from contract documents (e.g., differing site conditions, buried utilities) and immediately notify the PM for formal notice under
FAR 52.236-2.
Coordinate quality control inspections and testing; maintain daily QC/QA reports. Support instrumentation and monitoring activities as needed (e.g., coordination with research/testing personnel on-site). Maintain daily reports, photographs, and field documentation in Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). Track and expedite RFI responses and submittal reviews at the field level to minimize schedule impact. Coordinate material deliveries, laydown areas, and site access with VA police/security and facilities management. Participate in weekly OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings and provide field status updates. Support close-out activities including punch lists, as-built documentation, and O&M turnover. Required Qualifications construction superintendent experience, with federal or healthcare construction experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of electrical systems (generator/emergency power systems a plus) and site/civil work. Proficiency with Primavera P6 (or ability to read/enforce CPM schedules) and Autodesk Construction Cloud. OSHA 30 certification required;
EM 385-1-1
certification strongly preferred (federal job site standard). Strong written communication skills for daily reporting and field documentation.
