Role Description The Preconstruction Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Harrisburg, PA. This role is responsible for leading preconstruction activities, including preparing detailed estimates, developing budgets, and coordinating with design and project teams to align scope, schedule, and cost. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing construction documents, identifying value engineering opportunities, assessing project risks, and supporting procurement strategies. The Preconstruction Manager collaborates closely with owners, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements and ensure accurate preconstruction planning. The role also involves preparing proposals, participating in presentations and interviews, and providing ongoing support as projects transition from preconstruction into construction. Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in Construction Estimating and Cost Management to develop accurate estimates and control project costs. Experience in Design Management and Budgeting to coordinate design decisions with financial and schedule requirements. Strong Proposal Writing skills to prepare clear, competitive, and client-focused preconstruction proposals. Knowledge of commercial construction methods, materials, and building systems. Proficiency with estimating and project management software tools. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across disciplines. Relevant experience in preconstruction or construction management; a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred. Commitment to safety, quality, and ethical business practices, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
