Job Description

We are a growing General Contractor and Developer in the San Antonio area looking for an experienced, hands-on Field Operations Supervisor to help oversee multiple active commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate must have strong field construction experience, particularly with site work, grading, underground utilities, foundations, concrete, and commercial construction. Experience with PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings) is required. While this position will not be responsible for PEMB erection, the candidate must understand PEMB construction, foundations, anchor bolt requirements, building interfaces, and coordination with other trades. This position will work closely with project and operations management while taking responsibility for day-to-day field supervision, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety, documentation, and jobsite progress.
Responsibilities:
Visit and oversee multiple active construction sites throughout the San Antonio area. Supervise and coordinate subcontractors and daily field activities. Monitor daily production, manpower, sequencing, quality, and schedule. Review construction drawings, specifications, details, shop drawings, and field conditions to verify work is being performed correctly. Oversee site work, grading, underground utilities, foundations, slabs, concrete, and other field scopes. Verify dimensions, elevations, layout, embeds, and anchor bolt locations before critical concrete placements and installations. Coordinate field conditions and other trades with PEMB requirements and drawings. Identify conflicts, deficiencies, quality issues, or potential delays and communicate them to management before they impact the project. Coordinate subcontractors, deliveries, inspections, equipment, and jobsite access. Perform quality-control inspections and develop and follow up on punch lists. Prepare detailed daily construction reports, documenting work completed, subcontractors and manpower on site, deliveries, inspections, delays, issues, weather conditions, and progress photos. Prepare and maintain Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) for field activities. Monitor jobsite safety and ensure subcontractors comply with project safety requirements. Maintain organized photographic documentation of construction progress and field conditions. Verify material deliveries and confirm materials are consistent with project requirements. Assist management with short-term scheduling, upcoming activities, and field coordination. Maintain clean, organized, professional, and safe jobsites.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Proven commercial construction field experience. PEMB (Pre-Engineered Metal Building) experience required. Strong experience with site work, grading, underground utilities, foundations, and concrete construction. Strong ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and PEMB construction drawings, details, specifications, and shop drawings. Understanding of PEMB foundations, anchor bolts, embeds, building interfaces, and trade coordination. Experience supervising and coordinating subcontractors. Strong understanding of construction sequencing and coordination between multiple trades. Experience preparing daily construction reports and maintaining accurate field documentation. Experience preparing and implementing JHAs. OSHA certification required. Strong understanding of construction safety and jobsite requirements. Ability to identify construction conflicts, quality issues, and potential problems before they affect schedule or cost. Strong communication and organizational skills. Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and computers for plans, photos, reports, email, and project documentation. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between jobsites in the San Antonio area. Must be dependable, proactive, organized, and capable of working independently. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred due to frequent communication with field crews and subcontractors We are looking for someone with real commercial field experience who understands how projects are built , can effectively supervise subcontractors and field conditions, and can be trusted to represent management on our jobsites. Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
