We are currently seeking a high-caliber Construction Superintendent to join our team in the Yakima Valley. With specialized divisions ranging from new commercial & retail tenant improvements to public works and multi-family exterior envelope renewals, we provide our clients with expert solutions and our employees with diverse, challenging project opportunities.
THE ROLE
The Superintendent is the primary field leader, responsible for the safe, profitable, and on-schedule delivery of our projects. You will act as the direct link between the field and the office, managing daily operations while maintaining the high standards of Safety, Schedule, Quality and Integrity that define
CDK. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Field Leadership:
Direct daily field management of personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure a seamless workflow.
Safety Excellence:
Implement and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSP) and prioritize a zero-incident job site.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate daily field reports and project documentation to track progress and compliance.
Scheduling:
Manage project milestones through rigorous short-interval scheduling (Look-ahead) and overall project timeline management.
Quality & Compliance:
Conduct regular quality control inspections, obtain all necessary permits, and coordinate with municipal inspectors.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Build positive, professional relationships with Owners, Architects, and Engineers to ensure project alignment.
Financial Stewardship:
Track labor budgets meticulously, identifying opportunities for cost savings and preventing "margin fade."
Project Completion:
Lead the closeout process, including punch list management, obtaining occupancy, and final acceptance.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of Superintendent experience in commercial construction.
Versatility:
Proven track record in diverse project types, including Ground-up, Tenant Improvements (TI), and Exterior Envelope/Re-clad projects.
Communication:
Exceptional written and oral communication skills for effective stakeholder and team management.
Tech-Savvy:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) and familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore).
Strategic Mindset:
A "self-starter" and "strong closer" with the ability to solve problems proactively before they impact the schedule.
Hands-on Capability:
Willingness to work "with bags on" (hands-on labor) when required by project needs.
