Job Description

Ready to lead complex, high-impact construction projects that serve thousands and protect public health and the environment? Public Works is seeking a skilled Construction Manager to guide critical Sewer Utility capital improvements from planning and design through bidding, construction, and contract administration. In this role, you'll oversee major sewer infrastructure projects that support our growing community, supervise a talented team of engineers and support staff, and ensure every project meets Federal, State, and County standards. Working closely with consultants, contractors, partner agencies, and the public, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, high-quality infrastructure for years to come. As the Construction Manager, you will: Lead and supervise engineering and support staff, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management. Manage capital construction contracts, including scope, schedule, budget, negotiations, and documentation. Oversee project planning, design coordination, bidding, and construction activities. Coordinate with State agencies, County departments, utilities, contractors, and the public. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and contract requirements. Provide technical guidance and review engineering studies, plans, specifications, and submittals. Monitor contractor performance, documentation, schedules, inspections, and payment requests. Prepare project reports, exhibits, and presentations for public meetings and stakeholders. Respond to inquiries and support resolution of project-related issues or concerns.
