Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Code Enforcement/Animal Control/Building Inspector to join our team. This vital role involves ensuring compliance with local codes, regulations, and ordinances related to property maintenance, animal control, and building safety. The ideal candidate will be energized by enforcing standards that promote community health and safety while conducting thorough inspections and investigations across various public works projects. Responsibilities Enforce property maintenance codes, building regulations, and animal control ordinances through inspections and investigations Conduct comprehensive building inspections to verify compliance with building codes, construction plans, and specifications Perform site visits on public infrastructure construction projects to monitor quality control and ensure adherence to safety regulations Review construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards Collect data during inspections, document findings accurately, and prepare detailed reports for review Investigate complaints related to code violations or animal issues and coordinate enforcement actions accordingly Ensure construction regulatory compliance by analyzing construction site activities, quality inspections, and adherence to safety protocols Requirements Proven experience in construction site inspection or related civil infrastructure roles with a focus on public works projects Strong knowledge of building code analysis, construction regulations, and quality control procedures Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and construction plans Experience in construction management practices including contracts, data collection, and quality inspections Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report writing and record keeping Ability to analyze technical information accurately and enforce compliance effectively Knowledge of safety regulations pertinent to construction sites and public infrastructure projects Excellent communication skills for interacting with contractors, property owners, colleagues, and the public Join our team to help uphold the safety standards of our community! Pay:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour
