Job Description
ResourceTek, in partnership with a multi-discipline engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Resident Project Representatives (RPR) to support our airport construction projects. Multiple project locations are available throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. These are short-term assignments expected to last approximately 90 days, with full-time hours anticipated for most of the project duration. Candidates will be assigned to one project location and will not be required to travel between job sites. Based on future project needs and performance, selected candidates may be considered for assignment extensions or additional projects. Responsibilities Provide onsite construction observation and project documentation for airport and related civil infrastructure projects. Serve as the primary onsite liaison between the contractor, engineer, airport personnel, and other project stakeholders. Monitor construction activities for compliance with approved plans, specifications, contract documents, and quality standards. Observe airport construction work involving aprons, runways, taxiways, pavement, drainage, utilities, and related infrastructure. Prepare accurate daily reports, photographs, quantity records, construction logs, and other project documentation. Track contractor personnel, equipment, weather conditions, work progress, delays, and field issues. Communicate project updates, concerns, and potential conflicts clearly and promptly to the appropriate parties. Assist with RFIs, change orders, pay quantities, material testing, punch-list items, and project closeout. Identify and document construction deficiencies, quality concerns, or deviations from project requirements. Attend project and contractor meetings as needed and provide timely field updates to the project team. Qualifications Previous experience as an RPR, construction inspector, field representative, or in a similar construction observation role. Airport or airfield construction experience is required, including experience with aprons, runways, taxiways, pavement, or related civil work. Strong written documentation, organization, and communication skills. Ability to serve as an effective liaison among contractors, engineers, airport representatives, and clients. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, schedules, and contract documents. Working knowledge of construction methods, quality requirements, and jobsite safety practices. Ability to work independently and make sound observations in an active construction environment. A bachelor's degree is not required; relevant field experience will be considered. A valid driver's license is required.
