Construction Surveillance Technician - (PP /MD)

Job Description

CenCore Group is seeking qualified Construction Surveillance Technicians (CSTs) to support construction security and surveillance activities within sensitive U.S. Government facilities. The CST is responsible for monitoring construction personnel, materials, equipment, and activities to protect the security integrity of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIFs) and other controlled Government spaces. CSTs work closely with Government Site Security Managers (SSMs), construction personnel, project managers, and security professionals to identify and report potential security vulnerabilities, unauthorized activities, technical penetrations, and deviations from approved construction security procedures. Candidates must have successfully completed the Department of State Construction Surveillance Technician Course or an approved equivalent and be able to provide documentation of certification prior to assignment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform construction surveillance and physical security activities in accordance with applicable Government requirements, approved Construction Security Plans (CSPs), site-specific procedures, post orders, and security directives. Continuously monitor construction personnel, subcontractors, vendors, construction activities, materials, tools, and equipment within designated secure or controlled areas. Apply knowledge of construction trades and methods to identify unusual, unauthorized, concealed, modified, or potentially compromising construction activity. Inspect construction materials and work areas for evidence of unauthorized technical penetrations, tampering, clandestine technical collection devices, or other potential security concerns. Monitor uncleared construction personnel in accordance with approved security requirements and Construction Security Plans. Supplement site access-control, personnel-screening, and inspection procedures as required. Work closely with the Government Site Security Manager to ensure established physical and construction security policies and procedures are followed. Identify and immediately report security violations, suspicious activity, construction deficiencies, unauthorized activities, or deviations from established security requirements. Participate in close-in inspections of designated inspectable spaces and construction activities, including wall close-ins, concrete placements, utility penetrations, and similar construction milestones. Document observed construction security deficiencies and provide accurate reports to designated Government security and project-management personnel. Perform off-site inspections of prefabricated materials, equipment, or construction components when directed. Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection documentation, security reports, and other required records. Maintain continuous situational awareness while assigned to active construction operations.
