We are actively seeking a qualified Crane Operator to join our dynamic team in Ledyard, CT. This position plays a crucial role in our operations, requiring a skilled individual capable of operating our barge-mounted cranes, and other essential equipment.

Location:

The primary work location is in Ledyard, CT.

Responsibilities:

Operate cranes and heavy machinery with precision and efficiency to meet project requirements. Perform pre-operational checks and inspections on cranes, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Monitor crane operations to promptly detect and address any potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions. Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to plan and execute crane lifting activities safely and effectively. Adhere to rigging and signaling procedures during crane operations, maintaining clear communication with ground personnel. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on industry best practices and regulations. Assist in the setup and assembly of cranes on job sites, following manufacturer guidelines and engineering drawings. Maintain accurate records of crane usage, maintenance activities, and any incidents or accidents for reporting purposes. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior crane operators and crew members, promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.

Position Requirements:

4-5 years of experience in crane operation. Mandatory possession of CT crane certification and a Certified Crane Operator (CCO) certification. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Good physical condition to work in various weather conditions. Fluent in English (reading, speaking, and writing). Valid Driver's License. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Salary Range:

$45-60 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Schedule:

Flexibility is key. The position requires a 40-hour work week with occasional night and weekend work to meet project demands.
