Multi-Year Marine/Heavy Civil Project Compensation:

$45-$60 per hour, based on experience! Position Summary Richard E. Pierson Construction Co. is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our team on a long-term heavy civil construction project in Edgemere, Maryland. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience operating lattice boom crawler cranes in marine, heavy highway/civil, or foundation construction environments, with a strong background supporting pile driving operations. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a reputable contractor working on a major multi-year infrastructure project. Essential Responsibilities Safely operate a lattice boom crawler crane in accordance with manufacturer specifications and all OSHA and company safety requirements. Perform crane operations in support of pile driving, foundation, bridge, and heavy civil construction activities. Lift, position, and place heavy materials, equipment, and structural components with precision. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance or repair needs. Work closely with pile driving crews, riggers, signal persons, and project supervision to safely complete lifts. Read and interpret lift plans, load charts, and project specifications. Maintain proper crane setup, including boom configuration and safe operating practices. Follow all project safety procedures and participate in daily safety meetings. Qualifications Minimum 3-4 years of experience operating lattice boom crawler cranes in heavy civil, heavy highway, bridge, marine, or foundation construction. Demonstrated experience supporting pile driving operations is required. Current NCCCO (CCO) Crane Operator Certification required. Ability to read and understand crane load charts and lift plans. Strong knowledge of crane safety regulations and industry best practices. Ability to work safely around active construction operations. Reliable transportation and ability to report to the project site in Edgemere, MD. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on DOT, bridge, marine, or infrastructure projects. Experience with driven pile, sheet pile, or other deep foundation systems. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction certification (preferred).
