Core Drill operator/ Yard Worker

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and hard-working individual to operate a stationary Core Drill as well as organize and manage the flow of the precast yard. You will operate core drilling equipment to create precise holes in concrete manholes based on job plans, additionally, you will operate a forklift, skid-steer, front end loader and other machinery to assist with yard operations such as loading boom trucks, strapping loads, organizing inventory, staging products for delivery, and helping with various other projects. The ideal candidate will also have experience in welding and fabrication to also assist in the fabrication of custom products as needed. Responsibilities Operate core drilling machines safely and efficiently to produce accurate holes in concrete manhole products. Handle materials using appropriate material handling equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, and front end loaders. Assist with yard organization by managing inventory, equipment, and supplies; ensure the yard remains clean and organized. Assist delivery drivers in safely and efficiently loading boom trucks for delivery based on sales order slips. Including staging loads prior to ensure the correct product is loaded in a safe and efficient way. Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, inspections, repairs, and safety checks in compliance with occupational safety regulations. Qualifications Proven experience working in the construction field Knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, hydraulics, and safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and front loaders safely and effectively. Welding and fabrication is a major bonus Strong understanding of occupational safety regulations and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Pay:
$24.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 55.0 per week
