Job Summary Webb Utility Contractors is seeking a dependable and hardworking Directional Drilling Operator to join our underground utility construction team. This position is responsible for operating directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities safely and efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship. Responsibilities Operate horizontal directional drilling equipment. Read and understand utility locate markings and job site plans. Install underground utilities, including water, sewer, electric, telecommunications, and fiber optic lines. Perform routine equipment inspections, maintenance, and cleaning. Work closely with the locator, tracker, and labor crew to complete projects safely and efficiently. Follow all OSHA, company, and job site safety regulations. Load and unload equipment and materials as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Complete assigned tasks on schedule while ensuring quality workmanship. Qualifications Experience operating directional drilling equipment is preferred but training may be provided for the right candidate. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus. Ability to read utility locates and construction plans is preferred. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work. Must be able to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
