What You Will Do:

GFT is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Driller to work with our drilling crews for geotechnical, environmental and structural subsurface projects. This role is located in Ebensburg, PA. What you'll be challenged to do: As a Geotechnical Driller you will be focused on a wide variety of geotechnical and/or environmental projects. The ideal candidate is a self-starting and motivated individual who can perform with minimal supervision, a team player, and one who takes pride in their work. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Operation drill rig(s) and oversight of drilling operations for auger borings, standard penetration test (SPT) sampling, rock coring, monitoring well installations, infiltration testing and other types of drilling, as required.\nCollection of field data as required by specifications and/or job instructions.\nTraining and supervision of drilling assistant on the drilling site.\nMeet production requirements and utilization goals.\nCommunication with project managers, inspectors, clients, and supervisors., as required.\nResponsible for routine maintenance, repair and general condition of the drill rigs and other equipment.\nConsistent promotion and adherence to safe work practices, including the use of required personal protective equipment and compliance with site safety plans.\nOperation of DOT regulated vehicles and all responsibilities as required to stay in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations, including record keeping and equipment inspections.\nTravel is required, including occasional weekends and extended periods. All travel expenses, including travel time, are paid.\nEducation |

What we prefer you bring:

2+ years of experience in a similar role\nDemonstrated ability to operate track and track mounted drill rigs for geotechnical sampling including coring; hollow and solid-stem augering; split-spoon sampling; etc.\nCDL License a plus\n

Compensation:

\nThe hourly range for this role is $23.00 - $30.00 per/hour. The hourly range is dependent upon experience and geographic location.\n
