Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a licensed Well Driller certified by the State of Washington to lead and execute well drilling operations with precision and safety. As a key member of our team, you will oversee the entire drilling process, from planning to completion, ensuring compliance with all safety standards and industry regulations. Your expertise will drive successful water well installations, groundwater monitoring, and other subsurface projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse construction sites, utilizing advanced equipment and leading a skilled crew to achieve project goals efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Operate and manage well drilling rigs, including horizontal drilling equipment, ensuring optimal performance throughout each project. Lead and supervise drilling crews, coordinating tasks and maintaining high safety standards across all operations. Conduct equipment troubleshooting and perform routine maintenance on drilling machinery, pumps, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks to ensure reliability and safety. Oversee pipeline installation, pump operation, and pumping systems setup for water supply or environmental projects. Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols; utilize personal protective equipment (PPE), respiratory protection, and heavy equipment safely at all times. Manage construction site activities related to oil & gas or groundwater projects, including rigging, excavation, and site preparation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations related to construction, environmental protection, and occupational health standards. Maintain detailed records of drilling activities, safety inspections, equipment maintenance logs, and project documentation. Skills Valid Washington State Well Driller license with comprehensive knowledge of local regulations and industry standards. Strong mechanical knowledge with experience troubleshooting drilling rigs, pumps, and heavy machinery such as excavators and cranes. Skilled in pipeline installation, horizontal directional drilling (HDD), and the operation of pumping systems for water or oil & gas projects. Proven ability to manage crews effectively while maintaining a safe work environment on outdoor construction sites. Experience operating commercial trucks—including tanker trucks—and understanding of commercial driving regulations. Proficiency in heavy equipment operation such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, and other construction machinery. Knowledge of OSHA safety protocols; committed to PPE use and respiratory protection practices at all times. Background in construction site management with familiarity in excavation work, construction experience, and oil & gas industry standards. Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues quickly to minimize downtime; strong mechanical aptitude is essential. Excellent communication skills for coordinating team efforts and liaising with project managers or clients as needed.
