This position is based permanently out of the Tacoma, Washington area. Please note that this is not a traveling position and any interested candidates would need to relocate to the Tacoma area prior to starting. Working under the direction of the Supervisor, the Directional Driller will be responsible for safely and effectively operating a Directional Drill. This is a full-time position which includes weekly pay, Benefits, 401K as well as opportunities for growth!

YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO

In conjunction with locator, operate the directional drill using the selected bore heads and back reamers to place cables and / or duct. Load and unload directional drill equipment in a manner that is secure and damage free. Transport associated tools, materials and/or equipment in a safe manner. Complete Driver's logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports. Complete a daily inspection on equipment prior to commencing work. Prepare the drill fluid based on site conditions prior to boring commencing. Troubleshoot any equipment issues and relay to service technician for assistance or resolution. Able to operate the drill locater as required. Other duties as required.

THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES

CDL is strongly preferred Must have 1-3 years previous Drilling experience and working around existing buried utilities Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs.) Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must be familiar with OSHA requirements Demonstrated commitment to health and safety and willing to receive applicable Health and Safety as per job requirements
