Job Summary 4-D Water Well & Pump Service is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our team as a Water Well Drilling Helper. This is a hands-on, outdoor position assisting our experienced drilling crew with the construction of residential and commercial water wells. No water-well experience is required. We are willing to train the right person who is reliable, mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and interested in learning a specialized skilled trade. This position offers an opportunity to advance from Drilling Helper to Drilling Assistant and eventually to Drill Rig Operator as your skills, knowledge, and responsibilities grow. Responsibilities Assist with setting up and taking down water-well drilling equipment. Handle drill pipe, well casing, tools, hoses, and other materials. Help load and unload trucks and prepare materials for each job. Assist with operating drilling equipment, support vehicles, and job-site tools. Perform basic equipment inspections, cleaning, greasing, and routine maintenance. Help maintain clean, organized, and safe trucks, equipment, and work areas. Assist with excavation, well-casing installation, and general job-site duties. Follow company safety procedures and directions from the lead driller. Travel with the crew to job sites throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Assist with pump installation, shop work, and other duties when needed. Qualifications No previous water-well experience is required; on-the-job training is provided. Must be dependable, punctual, hardworking, and willing to learn. Construction, excavation, farming, mechanical, plumbing, or equipment experience is helpful but not required. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be comfortable performing physically demanding work, including lifting and handling heavy materials. Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record. CDL or construction-equipment experience is a plus but not required. Must work well as part of a small team and follow instructions safely. Mechanical ability and experience using hand and power tools are helpful.
