In this role, you will be responsible for applying finishing techniques to drywall surfaces, ensuring a smooth, seamless appearance that meets high-quality standards. Your expertise will help transform raw construction spaces into polished environments, contributing to the overall success of our projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse construction sites, utilizing your skills in drywall installation, texturing, and repair to create visually appealing and structurally sound interiors. Responsibilities Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and texturing to achieve a flawless appearance. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately complete drywall and related tasks. Install drywall panels efficiently using hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper alignment and secure fastening. Repair damaged drywall or plaster surfaces with precision, restoring them to their original condition. Apply various textures such as spray or hand-applied finishes to match project specifications. Collaborate with framing carpenters, plumbers, electricians, and other trades to coordinate installation processes on-site. Follow all safety protocols and construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment at all times. Skills Extensive experience in drywall installation, taping, mudding, and texturing techniques. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, knives) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders). Knowledge of construction estimating and interpreting construction plans for efficient workflow. Familiarity with metal stud framing, ceiling grid installation, and trim carpentry related to drywall finishing. Understanding of water damage restoration procedures and mold remediation related to drywall repairs. Strong adherence to safety protocols including OSHA standards and construction safety regulations.
