This position plays an important role in maintaining the appearance, functionality, and overall quality of our apartment communities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience completing drywall repairs, patching, finishing, sanding, and paint preparation , along with a solid general maintenance background.



We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to the details, and understands that quality maintenance is an important part of the resident experience. Key Responsibilities Drywall Repair & Finishing Perform drywall repairs ranging from small holes and minor damage to larger wall and ceiling repairs. Cut, install, patch, and replace damaged drywall as needed. Tape, mud, skim coat, sand, and finish drywall to create a smooth, professional surface. Repair cracks, nail pops, water-damaged areas, and other wall or ceiling imperfections. Match existing wall textures and finishes when possible. Prepare repaired surfaces for primer and paint. Complete drywall repairs associated with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or other maintenance work. Ensure completed repairs meet Murn's standards for quality and appearance. Apartment & Property Maintenance Complete resident service requests accurately and within established timeframes. Assist with apartment turns and make-ready preparation. Perform general maintenance repairs involving plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, hardware, doors, fixtures, and other building components within the technician's skill level. Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions. Assist with preventative maintenance throughout the community. Maintain common areas, building interiors, and community spaces to established property standards. Identify maintenance concerns and communicate needed repairs or follow-up to the Service Manager. Participate in property inspections and corrective maintenance as assigned. Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and work areas in a safe and organized manner. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Resident Service Our Service Technicians are more than repair professionals—they are an important part of the resident experience.



The successful candidate will: Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents and team members. Keep residents informed when additional work or follow-up is required. Protect residents' homes and belongings while completing repairs. Clean the work area after each service request. Take ownership of assigned work and follow through until the issue is resolved. Qualifications Previous drywall repair and finishing experience required. Demonstrated ability to patch, tape, mud, sand, skim coat, and prepare drywall for painting. Previous apartment, multifamily, residential, construction, renovation, or building maintenance experience strongly preferred. General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, carpentry, and preventative maintenance preferred. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Professional communication and customer-service skills. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required based on property assignment. Ability to participate in an on-call rotation when required. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing ladders, reaching, carrying equipment and materials, and lifting items commonly associated with maintenance work.
