Generator Install Helper | Birmingham, AL | Current Electrical SUMMARY The Install Helper assists with the installation of whole-home standby generators. This role involves supporting plumbers and electricians on-site and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently by following directions and adhering to safety standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Assist in the installation of whole-home standby generators, ensuring proper setup and functionality. Provide support to plumbers and electricians, including handling tools, equipment, and materials. Follow detailed instructions and work closely with the installation team to complete jobs. Maintain a clean and organized worksite during and after installations. Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to meet expected performance. Reasonable accommodation may be made.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in construction, electrical, plumbing, or general labor is preferred.
OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND/OR TRAINING
Basic understanding of tools and mechanical systems. Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Ability to lift heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs). Willingness to work in various weather conditions and environments. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
