POSITION SUMMARY

\nResponsible for installation of electrical systems to project specifications under the direction of Electrical\nJourneyman and Foreman. Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Installations of Raceway Systems to meet project production standards\nMeasures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs electrical conduit; weld supports; install cable and duct banks\nMay be required to pull wire through conduit; connect wiring to lighting fixtures and power equipment\nInstallation of small electrical equipment and supports\nAttend safety meetings and complete safety paperwork on a daily basis\nDemonstrate safety as a top priority\nBasic Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)\nUnderstanding of basic electrical systems (low and high voltage)\nLearn project specifications and install electrical system to those standards\nLook for ways to improve safety, quality, and producti Qualifications

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

2-3 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience\nNCCER Certification/License (preferred)\nMinimum 2 years of experience in electrical helper III role

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Be knowledgeable of MIC Health and Safety programs and project specific regulations.\nWhen on-site, actively participate in daily toolbox meetings with crews and subcontractors.\nSet a personal example of safe behavior.\nRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals\nAdd and subtract two-digit numbers, multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and ability to perform these operations using units weight measurement and volume\nCommon sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form\nAbility to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards\nOther may duties may be assigned

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Work up to a 12-hour shift doing hard physical work in varying temperatures and outside conditions.\nMay need to maintain physical strength and stamina; Use arms, hands, and legs fully; Push, pull, and frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; and stoop, kneel, balance, crouch, crawl, and climb to perform job tasks.\nStamina to perform this task repetitively and continuously for several hour intervals.\nUncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions.\nThis work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises.\nAbility to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to- safety toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, hardhat, vest, etc.).\nMove in and around confined, cluttered, and uneven areas.\nMay need to work at heights and must be able to abide by all safety and fall-protection requirements; must be able to wear and utilize all safety equipment required for work at heights.\nEvaluate information based on measurable standards; and see details in objects or drawings and recognize slight differences in shapes and shadings.\nVisualize objects in three dimensions from drawings.\nKeep good balance and work at heights.\nSee well (either naturally or with correction).\nHear well (either naturally or with correction.)\nCoordinate the use of eyes, hands, and feet.
