$14.00-$18.00/hr About Us The Vibe Credit Union Showplace is a 600,000-square-foot state-of-the-art exposition, conference, and banquet center hosting trade shows, conventions, corporate conferences, and large-scale public events throughout the year. We provide a fast-paced, high-energy environment where seamless technology and infrastructure are critical to creating world-class event experiences. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Electrical & IT Installation Helper to join our team at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace. In this dual-role position, you will assist with basic electrical tasks while taking the lead on setting up low-voltage network equipment and digital devices. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is tech-savvy, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn both the electrical and IT trades. No formal schooling is required—we provide on-the-job training.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Assistance:
Assist licensed team members with basic electrical tasks, running electrical to exhibitor booths, material handling, conduit bending, and pulling wire.
Network Setup:
Assist with the physical installation and basic setup of network hardware, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
Device Deployment:
Mount, connect, and configure commercial TVs, digital displays, and smart security cameras.
POS & Smart Systems:
Install and test Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and various network-connected smart devices.
Cable Management:
Run, terminate, and neatly organize low-voltage network cabling (Cat5e/Cat6) and power cords.
Qualifications & Skills Tech-Savvy:
Solid understanding of basic IT concepts (e.g., how to log into a router, connect devices to Wi-Fi, and configure basic network settings).
Hands-On Skills:
Comfort using basic hand and power tools (drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers).
Physical Ability:
Able to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Reliability:
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a valid driver's license with reliable transportation. Preferred (But Not Required): Prior experience with cable pulling, smart home setups, or audio/video installations. Hours are based on our event schedule.
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
