$15.60 Employees being promoted to a higher classified position receive the minimum for the position or a pay rate adjustment of 8% whichever is greater. All regular positions also entitle the employee to several benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement which is largely paid by New Mexico Tech for the employee and dependents.

    JOB SUMMARY:
    Assists electricians in installation and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. May also assist other departments.
    JOB FUNCTIONS
    Measures, cuts, and bends conduits as directed by the electrician. Installs and repairs conduits, boxes, and fixtures; pulls wire in or out of systems Keep work areas clean and keep materials and supplies in a neat and orderly way. Assist in maintaining tools. Assists in installing motors, control boxes, and other electrical apparatus. May make connections under the direct supervision of an electrician. Assists in the installation of sheet metal ducts and plumbing projects when needed. Other job duties as assigned.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    High School (or GED) level ability in spelling, grammar, composition and math. Use of hand tools related to electrical work, such as lineman pliers, conduit benders, tape measure, and other equipment related to the job. Valid NM Driver's License
