The ideal candidate will support licensed electricians in various tasks related to electrical installations and repairs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. As an Electrician Assistant, you will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities Assist electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively under the supervision of experienced electricians. Help with the setup and dismantling of temporary electrical systems for construction sites. Follow National Electrical Code (NEC) guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards. Conduct tests on electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues. Support in low voltage and high voltage electrical work as required by project specifications. Participate in frame carpentry tasks as needed to support electrical installations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are accounted for. Experience Previous experience on construction sites is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with power tools and basic electrical concepts is advantageous. Understanding of industrial electrician practices is a plus. Knowledge of NEC regulations will be beneficial for compliance purposes. Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from lead electricians.
