Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking for local or per diem skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver safe, reliable electrical solutions. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair industrial and commercial electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or renovation projects, adhering strictly to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and local electrical codes. Diagnose complex electrical issues within industrial systems, utilizing troubleshooting techniques to identify faults efficiently. Install and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low-voltage systems critical for automation processes. Conduct electrical wiring for new installations or upgrades in commercial buildings while ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations. Follow all electrical safety procedures diligently to protect yourself and team members during every phase of work. Collaborate with construction teams, frame carpenters, and handyman specialists to coordinate electrical aspects of building projects. Document work performed through detailed reports, logs, and compliance records to ensure traceability and quality assurance. Experience Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and industrial electrical diagnostics. Familiarity with NFPA 70 standards, NEC regulations, local electrical codes, and safety procedures is essential. Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving electrical installations or upgrades. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like voltmeters and ohmmeters. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), troubleshooting techniques for complex systems, and high-voltage safety protocols is highly desirable.

$42.00 - $47.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
