Licensed Journeyman Electrician, Fire Alarm and Life Safety Upgrade Location:
Crescent City, CA (State correctional facility)
Type:
Full time, prevailing wage public works, approximately 18 month assignment About the Role AccuCurrent Corporation is seeking an experienced and motivated Licensed Journeyman Electrician for an immediate opening at a State of California facility in Crescent City, CA. This is a prevailing wage public works position with an exceptional total compensation package: competitive wages per the California DIR determination, employer provided housing at no cost to the employee, and a daily per diem allowance. The right candidate is a skilled tradesperson who takes pride in quality work, operates safely and independently, and is ready to contribute from day one. Before you apply, please read the next section carefully. This is a remote assignment, and we want you to have a clear picture of what it involves so you can decide whether it fits your situation before you accept.
Before You Apply:
What This Assignment Involves This is not a local job, and it is not a short one. We are being upfront about that on purpose. The job site is in Crescent City, in far northern California near the Oregon border. It is roughly a 7 to 8 hour drive from Sacramento and the Bay Area, and the nearest large cities are hours away. This is an extended stay assignment. You will be living near the job site during your work rotations, not commuting daily. Company housing is provided at no cost to you. The project is expected to run about 18 months. We are looking for electricians ready to commit to seeing it through, not for a few weeks or a couple of months. Because the work is inside a secure State facility, you will clear a comprehensive facility background investigation and follow strict access and security rules every day. We would rather be direct now than have you arrive, get settled, and realize the distance and length are more than you expected. If you want steady, well paid work and you are able to be away from home for an assignment of this length, this is an excellent opportunity.
