In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from new construction to renovations, utilizing your comprehensive electrical knowledge and hands-on skills to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Install, connect, test, and troubleshoot residential and commercial electrical systems in accordance with electrical blueprints and schematics. Conduct electrical diagnostics using tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to identify faults and determine solutions swiftly. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to guide installation and maintenance activities. Maintain compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations during all work procedures. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, mounting fixtures, and other installation tasks. Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to prevent accidents or injuries on construction sites or within facilities. Assist with renovation projects by updating or replacing existing electrical infrastructure while minimizing downtime. Document work performed through detailed reports, logs, and inspection records for quality assurance and compliance purposes. Skills Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in residential and commercial electrical systems. Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings accurately. Proficient in troubleshooting electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, multimeters, and clamp meters. Ability to perform electrical wiring tasks safely on construction sites or within existing facilities while adhering to all safety procedures. Comfortable using hand tools like wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers as well as power tools for installation purposes. Construction site experience including renovation projects or new builds that require precise electrical work. EMT conduit bending and installation. Excellent blueprint reading skills combined with the ability to interpret technical documentation accurately.
