Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Electrical Panel Assembly Technician for a full-time opportunity in a manufacturing setting. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing and wiring electrical control panels based on schematics and blueprints, and then meticulously inspecting your work to ensure accuracy and quality. The ideal candidate will have hands-on assembly experience, a strong mechanical aptitude, and a keen focus on safety.
Responsibilities:
Lay out and mount various electrical components in panels and enclosures, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, transformers, PLCs, and terminal blocks. Route, strip, crimp, solder, and terminate wires according to electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Measure, drill, tap, and cut enclosures and back panels to accommodate component installation. Conduct thorough inspections of finished panels to verify wiring accuracy, component placement, and structural integrity before testing. Apply wire markers, component tags, and terminal labels in accordance with engineering documentation. Maintain an organized work area and adhere to site safety protocols and personal protective equipment requirements.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in electrical panel building, electromechanical assembly, or a related electrical trade. Ability to interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials. Proficiency with wire strippers, crimpers, screwdrivers, drills, taps, and similar tools. Attention to detail in wire routing, color coding, and component placement. Capacity to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds safely, and perform repetitive tasks requiring fine motor skills. High school diploma or GED required; technical training in electricity or electronics is a bonus.
