Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Residential Electrician to oversee and execute electrical projects within residential settings. This is a field position that requires management of the job, and leading a crew. This listing is for experienced LEAD electricians, only. Our niche is primarily high-end custom homes that require high-end quality. Lead must have an eye for details, precision workmanship, and must be able to effectively communicate with homeowner's, builder's, designer's, employees, etc. Must be proficient in reading blue-prints, deciphering contract work from extra's, timely submittal of paperwork, material tracking, labor tracking completed daily and submitted to the office. Must have reliable transportation, hand, and power tools necessary to complete electrical installations and repairs. Must have knowledge of the NEC, and above average problem solving skills. Commercial and Industrial electricians need not apply. Significant residential experience is required. Responsibilities Lead and coordinate residential electrical projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and efficient completion. Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install and troubleshoot electrical systems. Supervise and mentor a team of electricians, providing guidance on best practices, safety procedures, and technical challenges. Perform complex electrical diagnostics on residential wiring, circuits, and systems to identify issues quickly and accurately. Install, repair, and maintain various electrical components including high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and industrial electrical systems where applicable. Ensure all work complies with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards), NEC (National Electrical Code), and local electrical codes. Utilize hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical systems effectively. Conduct safety inspections following electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment for team members and clients. Collaborate with clients to assess project requirements, and communicate project progress clearly. Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for each project. Qualifications Proven experience as an electrician with strong expertise in residential wiring, troubleshooting, and system installation, and leadership. Deep knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, local electrical codes, and blueprint reading. Skilled in diagnosing complex electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters. Experience working with residential electrical systems, high-voltage wiring, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low-voltage systems. Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and interpret technical drawings for installation or repair projects. Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures to ensure compliance at all times. Construction site experience including renovation projects and/or new builds is required Excellent leadership skills with the ability to guide a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
