In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure that electrical infrastructure operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all relevant codes and standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver exceptional service. Responsibilities Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including low voltage and high voltage circuits on commercial and industrial sites. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical diagrams, and electrical schematics to accurately execute projects. Use hand tools, power tools, multimeters such as ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose issues and perform repairs effectively. Work safely on construction sites by adhering to OSHA standards, NEC (National Electrical Code) regulations, and other safety protocols. Assist with renovation projects by framing carpentry, installing conduit, wiring fixtures, and ensuring proper grounding. Collaborate with project managers and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks during construction or renovation phases. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and inspections completed for compliance and future reference. Qualifications Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician with a strong background in electrical systems installation and maintenance. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, and low/high voltage systems. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools; ohmmeters; and other diagnostic equipment. Construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation. Ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces while following all safety guidelines. Handyman experience or related skills including frame carpentry or general renovation work is a plus. Strong understanding of NEC standards, low voltage wiring practices, and high voltage safety procedures.
