Life:
The Maintenance Electrician is responsible for maintaining industrial process and packaging equipment at required operating levels, troubleshoots electrical equipment, replace parts, repair equipment, and perform preventive maintenance.
Position Details:
7a-3p, M-F with rotating, on-call schedule
Pay:
$29.57 an hour
What You'll Be Doing:
Execute maintenance electrical work orders
Perform preventive/predictive maintenance on electrical equipment as assigned
Service, troubleshoot, and repair any problem of electrical nature including, but not limited to, MCC panels, equipment wiring, PLC cabinets, wiring motors, and working with instrumentation
Work with voltages from 12v to 480v, may be trained to work with 4160v switchgear
Verification of successful repair/installation prior to equipment turn over to operations
Comple necessary permit before work to ensure proper LOTO
Have a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations
Demonstrate safe working practices and notify operations of safety alarms
Perform housekeeping and cleaning duties
Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in electrical maintenance (3+ years preferred)
Knowledge of hand tools and electrical tools, including multi-meter
Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment
Skilled equipment operations, safety programs and grain operations
Ability to work with computerized control systems
Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
Ability to tolerate exposure to hot and cold conditions, according to the season
Basic written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Technical classes/certification
Agricultural experience
