Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Lead Electrician to oversee and execute complex electrical projects across residential and commercial settings. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of electricians, ensure compliance with all safety standards and electrical codes, and deliver top-quality electrical systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Duties Lead and coordinate electrical installation, repair, and maintenance activities on industrial and commercial electrical systems. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to guide project execution. Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently. Install, inspect, and repair high-voltage wiring and low-voltage systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code). Supervise the safe use of hand tools, power tools, and high-voltage equipment while ensuring all team members follow electrical safety procedures. Manage compliance with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards, and other relevant regulations during all phases of work. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects within scope and budget. Train junior electricians on electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, wiring techniques, and safety protocols. Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems during construction or renovation projects to identify potential hazards or code violations. Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including incident reports, inspection logs, and project updates. Experience Proven experience as an electrician in industrial settings with a strong background in industrial electrical systems. Extensive commercial electrician experience with a focus on high-voltage wiring, schematics reading, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) standards for safe electrical work practices. Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage control systems. Skilled in reading electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately. Familiarity with construction site procedures including framing carpentry and general renovation work is preferred. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely. Strong understanding of local electrical codes combined with practical experience in construction or renovation environments. Previous leadership experience managing teams of electricians or supervising large-scale electrical projects is highly desirable.
