National Gypsum Company, a manufacturer of gypsum wallboard, is seeking an experienced industrial electrician at their Waukegan, IL wallboard plant on 1st shift. Core Responsibilities The person we are seeking must have worked in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of 2 years of experience. Installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting electrical systems for Industrial equipment, with a strong focus on 480V 3 Phase power. Reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations and repairs. Installing conduit and wiring for equipment, ensuring compliane with electrical codes and safety regulations. Collaborating with our engineering and production teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components into our equipment. Conducting regular inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and resolve potential issues proactively. Diagnosing electrical fults and maifunctions and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime. Create work orders. Responsible for assisting in ordering parts and maintaining adequate spare parts inventory. Maintain an inspection for all motors and electrical equipment. Test existing equipment and determine if components of a system need to be upgraded or replaced. Check switches, motors, regulators, and other parts of an industrial electrical system. Inspect and troubleshoot Hydraulic and Pneumatics systems. Inspect, rear, & troubleshoot burner management systems. Ensure that all equipment is kept in a proper and safe working condition. Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain safe working record and environment. Adhering to strict safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Basic industrical, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and pneumatic skills, including troubleshooting. Must have knowledge and experience with Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. Must be able to interpret and read both electrical and mechanical deawings, schematics and ladder diagrams. Must be able to install 3 phase motors and control circuits. Understand inputs and outputs on PLC circuits. Experience with Natural Gas Burner. Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards and regulations. Pre-employment drug screening is required.
