The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with filling machines, semi-automated equipment, PLCs, motor controls, sensors, and industrial electrical systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and install electrical systems and manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot and maintain filling machines and semi-automated production equipment. Read and intrepret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals. Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment and understand basic PLC logic and programming concepts. Diagnose electrical control circuits, inputs/outputs, sensors, relays, timers, and control components. Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC motors, motor starters, contactors, overloads, VFDs, and motor control circuits. Troubleshoot proximity sensors, photo eyes, limit switches, solenoids, and other automation components. Use electrical test equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and other diagnostic tools. Perform preventive and corrective electrical maintenance. Install and modify electrical wiring, conduit, control panels, disconnects, and equipment as required. Assist with equipment startups, installations, upgrades, and automation improvements. Identify root causes of equipment failures and make recommendations to prevent recurring problems. Follow
OSHA, NFPA
70E, lockout/tagout, and company electrical safety requirements. Maintain accurate maintenance records and document repairs and equipment issues. Work closely with maintenance, production, engineering, and operations personnel.
Required Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician license/certification or equivalent experience. Industrial/manufacturing electrical experience preferred. Strong knowledge of motor controls and industrial electrical systems. Working knowledge of PLCs and PLC logic troubleshooting. Experience troubleshooting automated or semi-automated machinery. Experience with filling machines, packaging equipment, or similar production machinery preferred. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams. Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems independently. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Ability to work safely around energized and automated industrial equipment.
Preferred Experience:
PLC troubleshooting/programming. Motor controls. Pneumatic controls. Sensors and instrumentation. Automated filling/packaging equipment. Control panels and electrical panel construction. Preventative maintenance programs.
Pay:
From $27.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
