Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and skilled Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across various settings, including residential and commercial environments. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards and local electrical codes, contributing to the safe and efficient operation of facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovation to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and problem-solving abilities to keep electrical systems running smoothly. Duties Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and commercial settings using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system layouts. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and work on complex electrical systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code). Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues within low voltage and high voltage systems, applying troubleshooting techniques for efficient resolution. Follow strict electrical safety procedures during all phases of work to prevent hazards and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate with project teams during construction or renovation projects, including frame carpentry or handyman tasks as needed, to support seamless project execution. Maintain detailed records of work performed, inspections completed, and safety checks in accordance with company policies and local regulations. Requirements Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on residential or commercial electrical systems. Strong knowledge of electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, and reading electrical schematics and blueprints. Familiarity with NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment safely and effectively. Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints accurately and interpret technical drawings for installation or repair tasks. Construction site experience is preferred; familiarity with renovation projects is a plus. Excellent understanding of electrical safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment.
