Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Generator Installation Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting generators and associated electrical systems across various sites. Your expertise will ensure that all installations meet strict safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. Pay is negotiable and based on experience. Duties Install, wire, and commission generators in accordance with electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting. Conduct electrical diagnostics and troubleshoot complex electrical systems using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools. Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and connections while adhering to NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association code) standards for safety and compliance. Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code), NFPA 70, local electrical codes, and electrical safety procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete installations efficiently on construction sites or renovation projects. Read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately to guide installation processes. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish. Skills Extensive knowledge of electrical systems. Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safe installation practices. Skilled in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers; power tools etc. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot intricate electrical systems efficiently.
