Job Summary:
We are presenting an exciting opportunity for an Electrician (General Motors) supporting critical manufacturing and facility operations in Pontiac, MI. We are seeking a hands-on professional who can help maintain electrical infrastructure, process equipment, and building systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and repair manufacturing process equipment, including tank farms, dispensing systems, compressed gas storage, thermal oxidizers, and clean room mechanical systems. Perform electrical maintenance on normal power systems, emergency power systems, UPS systems, pumps, motors, and speed/feed systems. Troubleshoot controller programs, support building automation systems, calibrate natural gas and water meters, and assist with HVAC and mechanical systems. Complete safety PMs, respond to help desk work orders within 24-hour timeframes, manage spare parts inventory, and support housekeeping and safety processes.
Required:
Journeyman Electrician certification or a valid State of Michigan Electrician card. Experience with pumps, motors, and speed/feed systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical prints and schematics. Strong written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented approach. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Current forklift and aerial lift operator's license, or the ability to obtain one. Commitment to attend scheduled training and maintain IPMP compliance requirements.
