Anoka Technical College is looking for an experienced electrician who wants to help shape the next generation of skilled trades professionals. This is an opportunity to take the knowledge you've gained in the field and pass it on to students. As a Construction Electrician Instructor, you'll teach hands-on skills, industry best practices, safety standards, and real-world problem-solving techniques that students will use throughout their careers. Drawing from an established curriculum, you'll work directly with students in classroom and lab settings, helping them build the confidence and competence employers expect. This position involves mentoring students, providing them with feedback, assessing their abilities, and sharing practical jobsite experience while helping to keep the curriculum up-to-date and in line with industry standards. You'll also have opportunities to stay connected to the industry through professional development, advisory committee involvement, and partnerships with employers across the region. No previous teaching experience is required. If you bring the electrical expertise, we'll help you develop the teaching skills. Salary Range:

Full-time faculty salaries are based on an evaluation of education and related experience after a job offer has been accepted and currently range from $44,144 - $99,016. Full-time faculty work 171 days during a nine-month academic year and receive excellent benefits including health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, short and long-term disability, paid personal and sick leave, retirement savings plans, tuition waiver for employees and dependents, professional development funds, along with many optional benefit programs.

•Please note, Initial Step placement is established by the MSCF contract in which sets salary limitations to what a new Faculty member is able to begin at. This will differ from the maximum salary range in this posting. For more information, please visit the collective bargaining agreement between Minnesota State College Faculty (MSCF) and the State of Minnesota. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Minimum Qualifications Education Requirement Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program. Occupational Experience Requirement Four full-time (or equivalent) years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial. Recency Requirement One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
