In person Job Summary Professional Mechanical Services is seeking a skilled and dependable Journeyman Electrician to join our growing electrical team. This position offers a wide variety of electrical work, including residential service, troubleshooting, remodels, new construction, panel and service upgrades, specialty installations, and light commercial projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently when needed, communicating with customers and other trades, and completing quality electrical work safely and efficiently. We are looking for an experienced electrician who takes pride in their craftsmanship, provides a five-star customer experience, and wants to grow with an expanding electrical division. Key Responsibilities Perform residential electrical service, troubleshooting, and repairs. Complete electrical work for remodels, additions, and new construction. Install and upgrade electrical panels and services. Install lighting, receptacles, circuits, and other electrical systems. Install generators, EV chargers, hot tubs, and other specialty electrical equipment. Perform electrical work on light commercial projects. Complete electrical work related to HVAC and plumbing installations. Work alongside our HVAC and plumbing teams on larger multi-trade projects. Diagnose electrical issues and recommend safe, effective, long-term solutions. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications. Perform system testing and quality checks to ensure proper operation and code compliance. Clearly communicate with homeowners, contractors, office staff, and other trades. Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Keep company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in proper working condition. Follow company procedures, safety standards, and all applicable electrical codes. Deliver a professional, five-star customer experience from start to finish. Qualifications Valid Minnesota Journeyman Electrician License required. Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial electrical systems. Experience with electrical installation, service, and troubleshooting. Ability to independently diagnose electrical problems and complete assigned work. Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a crew. Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners, contractors, and other trades. Knowledge of state and local electrical codes and safety regulations. Strong communication and customer service skills. Quality workmanship and attention to detail. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Compensation Base pay ranges from $45-$55 per hour , depending on experience and qualifications. Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on position and performance. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry materials, tools, and equipment up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in basements, attics, crawlspaces, construction sites, and other residential or commercial environments. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
