Non-exempt, overtime eligible About MPE Global MPE Global designs and builds custom polyurethane and elastomer processing equipment for aerospace, defense, optical, and industrial manufacturers. Our machines pair precision mechanical systems with Siemens-based controls, VFD and servo-driven motion, heated process circuits, and full HMI integration. We build low-volume, high-complexity, engineered-to-order machines. No two builds are identical. Our roots go back to 1967 and our equipment runs in production plants worldwide. Position Summary Today, sizing questions, wiring standards, and build sequencing all route back to Engineering, which slows the build and creates rework. We are hiring a senior electrical lead who owns the electrical side of the build end to end — someone who already knows what a 15 HP 480V motor needs for conductor, overload, breaker, and drive without asking, and who can direct four technicians to a finished, tested, correct panel and machine on schedule. This is a working lead role. Expect roughly 70% hands-on and 30% direction, checkout, and quality. What You'll Own Electrical Build Leadership Own the electrical execution of every machine build from panel layout through power-up and functional test Assign daily work across four technicians, sequence tasks against the production schedule, and hold the team to committed dates Set and enforce the shop's wiring standards — labeling, wire color and gauge conventions, routing, strain relief, terminations, and documentation Inspect work in progress; catch problems before power-up, not after Drive rework down and first-pass yield up Technical Authority on the Floor Make routine sizing and selection calls independently: conductor ampacity and gauge, voltage drop, motor branch circuit protection, overload and starter sizing, control transformer

Article 430, and UL 508A practice to industrial machine builds Specify and enforce correct practice for shielded analog, encoder, thermocouple/RTD, servo, and Profinet cabling Escalate to Engineering only for genuine design questions — not for standard sizing and installation decisions Red-line schematics and feed corrections back to Engineering so drawings match the as-built machine Panel Build & Machine Wiring Lay out and build industrial control panels from schematics: PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, safety relays, contactors, power supplies, distribution, and heater control Manage enclosure layout for thermal load, wire management, serviceability, and NEMA rating integrity Route and terminate machine harnesses, field devices, motors, valves, heaters, and instrumentation Perform point-to-point checkout, continuity and insulation testing, and controlled power-up Startup & Troubleshooting Lead electrical troubleshooting during integration, functional testing, and customer FAT Support controls engineering during I/O checkout and commissioning Diagnose and resolve issues on live equipment safely and quickly Team Development Train and mentor technicians on electrical fundamentals, standards, and quality expectations Build repeatable methods so quality does not depend on who happens to wire the panel Contribute to build documentation, wiring standards, and process improvement set by the Sr. Control Engineer and Electrical Engineer Required Qualifications 8+ years in industrial control panel building, machine wiring, or electrical assembly for custom equipment Demonstrated ability to size conductors, overcurrent protection, motor circuits, transformers, and power supplies without engineering support Working knowledge of

NFPA 79, NEC

Article 430, and UL 508A panel construction practice Strong schematic literacy — electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic Experience wiring and commissioning PLC-based control systems (Siemens preferred; Allen-Bradley acceptable) Hands-on experience with VFDs, servo drives, safety circuits, and 480V 3-phase power distribution Proven experience directing or leading a crew of technicians Provides clear direction, holds team members accountable to expectations, and takes initiative to make timely decisions without waiting for direction. Preferred Experience UL 508A panel shop experience or Certified Panel Builder background Siemens
