Job Description

Understands safety policies, rules, & regulations and works toward an accident free workplace for themselves and their co-workers

Ability to work in team-oriented maintenance environment under stipulated time, support after hours and breakdown calls on weekends
Be able to perform physically demanding tasks repetitively for extended periods of time (i.e. lifting up to 50 pounds, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, standing, pushing and/or pulling)
Ability to learn from supervisor and follow instructions
Basic math and English skills
Good teamwork needed to work effectively in Electrical Department
The job involves working safely with high speed winders, hot godets, conveyers, dryers, lighting circuits
Essential knowledge in 3-phase wiring, motor controls, variable speed drives, DC motors, etc.
Good ability to learn and develop skills in electrical troubleshooting, predictive & preventive maintenance & breakdown maintenance of spinning machines and related equipments under the supervision of Electrical Engineer.
Ability to trouble shoot lighting circuits and rectify
Assist in upgrades to electrical equipment under the supervision of Electrical Engineer
Ability to read/comprehend oral and written instructions
Ability to work on computers to generate breakdown and maintenance work orders. Using our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), you receive work orders, identify faulty equipment, and acquire parts and equipment to complete repairs
Assist Inventory management of electrical consumables and spare parts.
Work under emergency, critical or dangerous situations.
