Job Summary We are seeking an experienced electrician with at least five years of relevant work. The ideal candidate is skilled at installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential and light commercial settings. They can troubleshoot electrical issues independently, interpret blueprints, and ensure all work meets safety standards and electrical codes. This role includes installing wiring, outlets, switches, lighting, panels, and EV charging stations. Attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication with clients are essential. This position is paid on a performance-pay structure rather than a flat hourly wage — your earnings are based on the efficiency and quality of completed work. The pay range listed reflects typical earnings under this structure. Responsibilities Install, service, and repair electrical systems in homes Troubleshoot electrical problems and implement effective solutions Perform diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance efficiently Install wiring, outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, panels, breakers, and related components Set up EV charging stations for residential and commercial clients Wire standby generators and transfer switches Upgrade electrical panels and improve existing systems Read blueprints, diagrams, and work orders accurately Ensure all work complies with safety standards and electrical codes Test systems to verify safety and proper operation Communicate clearly with clients about work performed and recommendations Document job details, materials used, and tasks completed Keep work areas organized and maintain clean company vehicles Qualifications Minimum of five years of relevant electrical experience Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems Ability to troubleshoot independently and diagnose issues effectively Experience with electrical repairs, installations, and service calls Proficient with electrical tools, testing equipment, and materials Knowledge of NEC codes and safety standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Excellent communication skills with a customer-service focus Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented Preferred Qualifications Three or more years of experience in residential construction Experience wiring standby generators and transfer switches Skilled in panel upgrades and EV charger installations Knowledge of smart home systems or low-voltage wiring is a plus Work Expectations Take ownership of each project from start to finish Complete tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality standards Follow company procedures for preparation, materials management, and documentation Maintain clean and organized work sites at all times Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally Physical Requirements Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds Capable of working in attics, crawl spaces, or tight areas Able to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
