Lead Electrician / Electrical Mechanic Job Overview JP3 Electric LLC is a family-owned and operated electrical company proudly serving Rockland, Westchester, and Putnam Counties. We are looking for an experienced Lead Electrician / Electrical Mechanic who takes pride in their work and is looking for a long-term opportunity with a company they can grow with. This is not an entry-level or apprentice position. We need someone with solid hands-on electrical experience who can confidently troubleshoot, complete installations and repairs, run jobs efficiently, and work alongside and provide direction to an apprentice when needed. Our work is varied and includes residential and commercial service calls, troubleshooting, renovations, electrical upgrades, lighting, panels, new installations, and other electrical projects throughout our service area. Responsibilities Perform residential and commercial electrical installations, repairs, upgrades, and service work Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues accurately and efficiently Install and repair wiring, lighting, devices, panels, circuits, and other electrical equipment Complete electrical work associated with renovations, additions, upgrades, and new installations Read and interpret electrical plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Properly use meters, testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools Take the lead on jobs and help guide apprentices and less-experienced team members Maintain clean, organized, and safe jobsites Complete work in accordance with the NEC, applicable local codes, and JP3 Electric's safety and quality standards Communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners, business owners, contractors, inspectors, and our office Keep the office informed of job progress, materials needed, additional work discovered, and any issues affecting completion Treat our customers' homes and businesses with the same care and respect you would expect in your own What We're Looking For Professional electrical experience is required Strong residential and/or commercial electrical experience Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems independently Solid knowledge of the National Electrical Code and safe electrical practices Experience with panels, branch circuits, lighting, devices, service work, renovations, and troubleshooting Ability to read electrical plans, schematics, and blueprints Ability to confidently use electrical testing equipment, hand tools, and power tools Ability to take ownership of a job and work effectively with an apprentice Strong problem-solving and communication skills Professional, respectful, and comfortable interacting directly with customers Valid driver's license and clean/reliable driving record Dependable, punctual, organized, and willing to work as part of a team Why JP3 Electric? $36.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
