Industrial Electrician
Job Description
Description Summary:
A member of our maintenance team. Supports safe, reliable plant operations by troubleshooting, installing, basic programming, and maintaining electrical systems, controls, drives, instruments, machinery, and equipment. This role uses sound judgment, technical expertise, and established maintenance practices to resolve issues efficiently while supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Requirements Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair, construct, and install electrical components for machinery and production equipment. Basic programing and support of PLC's and temperature control instruments. Diagnose and maintain AC/DC drive systems, boiler/furnace controls, recording devices, and related electrical equipment. Perform maintenance assignments independently while applying proper procedures, practices, and safety standards. Actively participate in safety initiatives and continue building electrical, controls, and troubleshooting skill sets.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience troubleshooting AC/DC drive systems. Experience with programmable logic controllers. Willingness to work off-shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred:
Journeyman status or equivalent electrical trade experience. Knowledge of temperature controls, recording apparatuses, and boiler controls. Maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Special Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, will be regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. May be exposed to wet or humid conditions. May be exposed to outdoor weather conditions. May be regularly exposed to high noise environments. May be exposed to heights up to 30 feet with proper safety training and equipment.
