Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Entry-Level Set-up Mechanic on the night shift, working from 6:50 PM to 7:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. You will be instrumental in preparing and maintaining equipment setups, ensuring smooth production runs, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Assist with the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment using schematics, electrical blueprints, and technical manuals. Perform routine inspections of machinery using precision measuring instruments and troubleshooting tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Support equipment troubleshooting by diagnosing issues related to hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Conduct preventive maintenance tasks including electrical diagnostics, hydraulic system checks, and mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal equipment performance. Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status updates. Operate scissor lifts and other industrial equipment safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas during setup or maintenance procedures. Read and interpret schematics and technical diagrams to assist in troubleshooting and repairs. Requirements Prior experience in a manufacturing facility or industrial maintenance environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for entry-level candidates. Basic understanding of electrical systems, troubleshooting pneumatic/hydraulic systems, and mechanical knowledge is highly desirable. Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including electrical blueprint reading, low/high voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics. Ability to operate tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, schematics readers, and precision measuring instruments accurately. Knowledge of HVAC/R systems or HVAC experience is a plus for understanding climate control components within the facility. Ability to work safely at heights using scissor lifts or similar equipment; certification is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills in English for effective teamwork and reporting; analysis skills for diagnosing issues efficiently. Willingness to learn new skills related to programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems troubleshooting, welding (including welding if applicable), and industrial maintenance techniques.
